>>>Martin Coyne 5/24/2005 5:33:26 PM >>> Hi Principals, Food Services department is the only organization with a health permit to sell food at school sites in WCCUSD. There are to be no sales by PTA/student body organizations without a health permit. The Contra Costa Environmental Heath department has informed me that no PTA and/or student body organization has a health permit to sell food at any school site in WCCUSD. Food Services has health permits to sell food at all sites. If you do have a health permit, please let me know and I will follow up with the Contra Costa Environmental Health department. Operations Division - Bulletin No. 21 dated May 16, 2005 states that any individual or groups such as PTA, student clubs, invited food vendors, teachers, and site administrators selling food independent of the district's Food Services Department must obtain a health permit from the Contra Costa Environmental Health department. One elementary school has been cited and taken to court. Health permits can be obtained to sell food at school sites. See Bulletin No. 21 for details. I will work with any school principal who wants my help obtaining a health permit. If you have any questions, please call me. Thanks, Martin P.
