Issue: PTAs and Food
PTA activities often involve preparing, selling, and giving out food. In our modern risk-averse society these kinds of activities are subject to greater and greater controls. Recently, we've reached a new level of enforcement in school districts for the regulations of the Contra Costa County Environmental Health Department pursuant to State law.
